The Calumet Orbit is a durable large format camera. Designed as a field camera, this metallic large format camera can be folded up into a relatively compact package for somewhat easier portability. The Calumet Orbit is sturdy and reliable. It has been a popular camera for wet plate collodion work for these reasons but it is also a great camera for general purpose 8x10 photography. The Orbit has a versatile array of movements.
This would be a great budget/ project kit for a large format photographer looking to make 4x5 and potentially larger negatives. Please see included items: this camera does not come with an 8x10 back or lens board.
